THE HAUNTED Frontman Is 'Damned Proud' Of BRINGTHEWARHOME Debut

October 20, 2008

BRINGTHEWARHOME, the Gothenburg, Sweden-based acoustic folk and experimental project fronted by THE HAUNTED singer Peter Dolving, has completed work on its debut CD entitled "Rejoice!"

Commented Dolving: "We mastered the record at Sterling Sound in New York City and I'm damned proud of the result. Rejoice! Has really turned out a rough diamond, just as we had envisioned it.

"When we started working on this stuff, all I had was 18-20 skeletons for songs, lyrics and vocal melodies were mostlt there but I had no real idea where it was going to end up.

"We labored this for about a year, all of us on different locations and tours. Finally we got together and started piecing what we had come up with, trying different arrangements, instrumentations and attitudes with what we came up with.

"Again, this was a process of finding time between other engagements and had us working in loads of different locations in the Gothenburg area.

"About a year later, we had time and energy to start recording at studio Folkhemmet, and I finished vocals at Studio Fredman. It was insane, going straight from tour to a completely different setting and mood, but I think for me personally it helped me keep an open mind going as we progressed with THE HAUNTED as well.

"As of now, we are proud to have the finished MP3s available through www.blastmymusic.com.

"If you are interested or like what you hear at the MySpace page, support us through buying the MP3s. In a couple of weeks it's available through iTunes, Amazon etc. Until then, www.blastmymusic.com is the place.

"We hope to finance a vinyl pressing as well as a CD this way, so help us make this become reality.

"I am proud to once again having had the opportunity to work with immensly talented people.

"Petter Eriksson plays the bass and has mixed 'Rejoice!'

"Ulf Wederbrand, has recorded it together with Petter and spend hours and hours with the five other weirdos in this band getting it on tape, he also plays electric guitar as well as various noise and saw.

"Nils Dahl provides us with everything from strange sound manipulations and brilliant piano and keyboard-playing, as well as the finest most stylish moustache seen since the french 1920's.

"Magnus Almberg is a creative dynamo and chaos generator who's fine sensibilities has not only brought out some of the finest guitar playing since Blixa Bargeld, and Robert Fripp in the 1980s.

"And last but not least…

"Marten Magnefors: Drum and rythm aficionado and general super-dude.

"These people are some of my best friends in the world, and the music we create together is something I want everyone to hear.

"So check it out, and if you like it, help us spread the word and tell others about our music, we'd love to go on tour somewhere down the line."
